Description

ODU TURNTAC slotted contact technology — a socket contact with longitudinal slots machined into the barrel creating spring fingers that grip the mating pin. Uniquely tolerates angled mating (pin insertion at off-axis angles) without binding or damage. >10,000 mating cycles. -55 to +125°C. Gold or silver plating. The angled-mating capability makes TURNTAC contacts well-suited for connectors used in field conditions where precise pin alignment cannot be guaranteed, including quick-deployment military connectors, maintenance access panels on vehicles, and test fixture contacts where slight misalignment is inevitable.
