Description
MC4-EVO2 is the backward-compatible next-generation MC4, rated 1500 V DC at 70 A with 10 mm² cable. Key improvements over original MC4: halogen-free housing material, enhanced contact geometry for lower resistance at high current, and IEC 62852:2020 compliant tool-free release latch. Mates mechanically with original MC4. Required for projects using bifacial modules and trackers where current per string exceeds 40 A. Used on all modern utility-scale solar farms.
